I was worried that the ingredients and recommended beers might be absolute, but when I couldn't find samphire (substituted with asparagus) and wanted to have it with a saison (I hadn't heard of these before and just loved saying it..:-) the combination still worked deliciously. My husband loved it all and I had great fun sourcing! Whole Foods was a treasure trove for many of these beers, and we will both have fun experimenting. I'm so pleased to have found this book."

I especially love how the book has a UK flair, but provides ingredient measurements in both customary and metric formats. The photos are mouthwatering, and the book is also truly educational when it comes to beer. It’s obviously that “The Beer Lover’s Table†was lovingly written by true food and beer aficionados, and it shows! It’s also a very substantial book that is a great value for the price.
